About Meesh

As a little girl, I discovered my passion for hair and makeup upon receiving my first children's cosmetics set and makeup vanity.  The excitement of successfully providing your friend's Barbie doll with a new hairstyle at the age of 4 is totally worth getting yelled at by their parents for chopping off all of their doll's hair with a pair of kitchen scissors.... (guilty).  My experience with the delicate tool we call "shears" has flourished since, and my love for creating beautiful and healthy looking hair has never been greater.     

After graduating from St. Clair College's "Hairstyling Program", my career took off in the beauty industry working at a high-end salon in Windsor, Ontario.  From women's short and stylish bobs to beautiful long-layered locks, I have been successful in helping each of my clients achieve the look they desire.  Although hair was my first love, I aspired to further my education in the beauty industry and increase my proficiency in the art of professional makeup application.

As a result, I moved to downtown Toronto to attend the world's leading college for makeup artistry, CMU College of Makeup Art & Design.  During my studies at CMU, I received hands-on training in the art of makeup applications for bridal, theatre, fashion, film and television, prosthetics, creature design, and special effects.  The hard work and dedication to my studies paid off, and I was awarded "Top Student" in the graduating class for "The Complete Makeup Artist Program".  

Following graduation, I spent the majority of my time working on film and television sets in the Greater Toronto Area, while simultaneously working as Burberry Beauty's first Canadian Ambassador. I also dedicated most of my weekends to bridal hair and makeup.

"Beauty By Meesh" was born in 2018, after meeting my husband and making the move stateside, to the USA.  I am a freelance, on-location professional makeup artist and hairstylist specializing in Bridal, and am thrilled to call Northwest Indiana my home. I currently service all of Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland, providing my clients with hair and makeup services in the comfort of their own homes or event space. I could not be happier that the art of hair and makeup, two of my greatest passions, is a part of my everyday life, and I take pride in making each of my clients feel special and important.  Whatever the occasion, I will work tirelessly to make all of my clients feel beautiful -- because you are beautiful!
